This week one of room 23 tasks was to do free choice writing, I decided to write about a floating citadel (a floating palace) I am proud of my work because I know that I wrote a good story and used figurative language in my story! next time I think i could improve on using onomatopoeia in some of my stories. On Wednesday Mrs. Mackinnon did a silly prank on room 23, she showed us a piece of writing that she found on Facebook, it was about dogs wearing nappies she fooled everyone. I was proud of my work because I know that I worked really hard and did a good job, I found trying to think how to put my sentences into place was the hardest.Hope you enjoy.

This week in room 23 one of our must dos was draft writing, but we had to use some of the skills that we have learnt about writing.As you can see I have highlighted some of of my work, that is so that you can see if I have used metaphors, onomatopoeia etc. I.e personification is in green.During this process I thought trying to use metaphors, similes, onomatopoeia etc, was pretty hard, I am really happy with my work because I accomplished using figurative language.

This week room 23 learnt about metaphors.A metaphor is saying that something is something using the word like something i.e snow is freezing cold.I felt drawing my cloud and hail was really hard.

LastLast week our class made ourselves a fitness goal .This is me and my friends plan(our goal is to do 100 press ups.

This week our task was to make a Nonfiction Scavenger Hunt,We had to find pictures of i.e -a Graph from a book in the classroom and then write the answer of the of the question that our teacher gave us.I am proud of myself because I think I did a great job with my work.

Yesterday I wrote this piece of writing using figurative language and descriptive words.
